IconMap

IconMap is an icon converter tool that you can use to edit the icon sets in Gary Grigsby’s Pacific War, Carrier Strike, or War In Russia. With IconMap, you can convert the game icons into a bitmap file, which you can then edit with your favorite paint program, and then convert back to game symbol format. I use IconMap when I mod the graphics in old SSI titles. The tool was made by Richard W. Dionne, a name you might have seen a lot in connection with these games. He also created a nice graphic mod for "War in Russia" and "Carrier Strike". You can find his original website here.
